I haven't forgotten about all of you here on The Midnight Hour but things have been hectic around here and esp. the last couple of months.
Have been having computer problems also and recently was able to finally get hi-speed in our area. Makes a big difference! Still have to have computer looked at and get another problem taken care of though.

It started with a dream.

I dreamed that my daughters Maggie and Missy and I went to the Newport Aquarium down by Cincinnati. We were walking by a large aquarium full of really bizarre looking creatures in a simulated deep sea environment and Missy quipped "wow, something smells fishy in here!" I told her to put a quarter in the pun jar and that's about all I remember of the dream.

The Hurricane, that is

On Sunday, September 14, at 2:00 p.m. hurricane Ike whipped through the Ohio Valley and left some 2.5 million people without power.

One hundred seventy hours and seven minutes later (that is, Sunday, September 21 at 4:07 p.m.) our power finally was restored. As I write these words, there are still a hundred thousand or so people around the state without power, and some of them may be that way for most of the upcoming week.
